Dakore Egbuson Tells How She Met Then Fell In Love With Her Hubby

The fabulous actress Dakore Egbuson got married to Olumide, son of Chief Harry Akande, a multimillionaire from Ibadan State. So, she tells how their first meeting happened then talks about their marital journey to Punch  
 
"We met in Lagos. I was just back from London and him from Chicago. We had to discuss because he wanted me to present a television show. I didn't have the job but I had the guy. We met the first time to talk about job but since that time we stay in touch. At the beginning we were just friends and after we decided to date and we are married today.     
  
I have been attracted by his confidence then he showed me that I was very important for him. It was a real gentleman and he knows how to speak to ladies.  But when the time of engagements came, I knew that it would do it but I didn't know when. At that time I was not really sure to marry someone as my own parents are not together and I knew that it would not be easy to decide, I had to be really sure of what I wanted at that time.  I was most focused on my career and I did not think of marriage."  
 
About the Proposal  
 
"The way he proposed to me was wonderful.  He knelt then asked me to marry him; all the people who attended his proposal have been touched. We got married short time later. Then we had Ayomide, our first daughter who is now three and Dasola another daughter who is 10 months now ".    
 
About the rumors  
 
People told so many things such as his parents didn't like me and I put an end to acting. But I just want to say I would never marry him if my father-in-law disagreed. I was even not 40 years yet that people already called me Ex actress. It was hard for me! But I made the choice to enjoy life and forget what people talked about me because I judged that if I went on paying attention to them that would make me suffer psychologically. How can one think that I would leave my work just because I got married? They said it because I got married to a rich family, but people must know I am a human and got my own purpose and goals that I cannot forget just because of a marriage."  
 
About Challenges

"Nobody obliged me to have dreadlocks so I think that it is normal to cut them if I want to do it. My husband didn't want me to cut my hair; he wanted that our children see me with my hair. I live my life as I want and I believe that each of us got his/her own lifestyle different from other’s one. I get my own way to enjoy life; and I believe that it is what makes me different from others."
